 Extra bits of furniture:

From Gaylord:

From Gresswell (UK) catalog:

Two OPAC/check out stations -- from IKEA:

Small bookcase to go next to the printer -- from IKEA:

How to best do the top of the bookcases?

Decided we want a raised vertical section for signage, e.g., NON-FICTION (KNF) below).

Note, however, the large curved blue area on this particular bookcase.

In the second round of the design of the blue&white existing bookcases, we eliminated the signage vertical bit and went for a small curved area. I prefer the smaller curves -- and wonder if the vertical signage bit could/should rise above the curve.

See below as mocked-up with a piece of paper...

Color scheme....

Carpet will be light brown.

Area rug will be squares of bright colors (see A4 printout from IKEA catalog).

Big cushions will be the green/blue covers.

Smaller cushions will be the two plaids shown.

Laminate on bookcases being built?

Thinking white for the inside -- as for existing bookcases -- with bright red on the ends (instead of the existing blue).
