Sourcing booklists and books

Page history last edited by Katie Day 15 years, 6 months ago

My compiled lists for the East campus, so far....

Literacy and leveled reading -- for schools

GENERAL:

Finding books and making lists of them:

  • WorldCat -- which searches library catalogs all around the world.  It even lets you register (free) and save lists of books you find
  • GoogleBooks -- which also lets you create and save lists (assuming you have a Google account, e.g., Gmail)
  • LibraryThing -- my favorite tool for making lists of books -- links in to GoogleBooks information -- lists up to 200 books are free, beyond that you can sign up for a year (US$10) or for life (only US$25) -- well worth it....
